Who We Are
Wavelengths Music Therapy, LLC is a private practice in Eastern Idaho servicing Rexburg, Rigby, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello. We offer Music Therapy services to children and adults with a variety of support needs in areas such as: communication, motor, sensory, emotional, and cognition. We seek to honor each individual’s unique identity by providing a safe environment to express oneself, while also accomplishing individualized goals through collaboration and music interventions facilitated by a Board-Certified Music Therapist.
What is Music Therapy?
“Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapy interventions can address a variety of healthcare & educational goals” -American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)
Music interventions may include songwriting, improvisation, musical games, music creation with technology, movement to music, singing, instrument play, and/or music listening, among others. Here at Wavelengths we utilize each individual’s strengths and preferences to provide motivating and meaningful music experiences in order to accomplish goals.
